Raising funds for equipment for Endocrinology

THE STORY SO FAR

This auxiliary was created because Dorothy Waters, who was a founding member of Coburg Auxiliary, was still holding a Cuppa For Kids event each year to raise funds for the Diabetic Unit. Dorothy was also ably assisted in her fundraising efforts by her friend Cath Colwell who also stayed involved after the closure of the Coburg Auxiliary.

What we are working on

Jill Mellon Robertson, Dorothy’s granddaughter, who was also involved in helping put on the day at her home in Ivanhoe, has now taken over the reins of the Auxiliary. Dorothy has since passed away, as has Cath, but Jill was very involved with helping her Grandmother and decided to continue the legacy created by her grandmother. The Dorothy Waters Auxiliary raises funds to purchase equipment for the Endocrinology department, which treats conditions such as diabetes and hormonal conditions.
