Thanks to GrapeCo Australia, thousands have been able to support The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation during their weekly shop.
Through the sale of their delicious and uniquely flavoured Candy Heart™ grapes, GrapeCo Australia was able to raise vital funds for the RCH Foundation.
“GrapeCo Australia have donated 10 cents to the RCH Foundation for every Candy Hearts™ 400g pack sold in all Woolworths stores across Australia,” said Leon Piscioneri, GrapeCo Australia’s Chief Financial Officer.
Leon explained that their decision to give back to the RCH Foundation was based on a deep trust and passion for supporting sick children and families in need.
“We hope to build an ongoing partnership that results in a brighter future for more children and their families,” Leon shared.
The funds raised by GrapeCo Australia go to the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Nursing Development Scholarship. This scholarship offers a unique opportunity for an outstanding nurse at the RCH to further develop their career and change the future of paediatric healthcare.
This year’s recipient, Kirsten Davidson combines her passion for both nursing informatics and excellent patient care to improve the management of nursing workloads across wards.
The project will ensure the best possible nurse to patient allocation, while also enhancing the holistic, patient and family-centred approach to care – something that the RCH is renowned for.
Leon and his team are proud to be able to support this scholarship.
“GrapeCo Australia are grateful for the opportunity to reward and promote the incredible work and care RCH’s talented nurses offer patients every day,” he shared.
GrapeCo Australia is known for their delicious and uniquely flavoured Candy Hearts grapes. To date, GrapeCo Australia is one of the leading and largest producers and marketers of fresh table grapes in the country.
The Candy Hearts™ is part of the ‘Hellooo’ unique flavoured grape offering and is available in stores from January through to May.
Finally, Leon strongly urges that everyone give back to the RCH and the RCH Foundation.
“Partnering with the RCH Foundation to help build a better future for families has been a very rewarding and fulfilling journey which we strongly encourage to all,” Leon expressed.
