An endowed fund is a strategic investment that generates yearly income to support the lifesaving work of the RCH, expressing an enduring commitment to children’s health.
The capital in an endowed fund is invested, with returns used to support critical areas of need each year. A portion of the investment return is retained to maintain the Fund’s real value and continue its impact.
As a world leader in paediatric health, the RCH is an exceptional place offering unparalleled patient care, research discoveries, and learning opportunities that are creating a brighter future for sick children. Through our partnerships on the Melbourne Children’s campus with MCRI and the University of Melbourne’s Department of paediatrics, and across the globe, we play a role in diagnosis, treatments and cures that will benefit children now and in the future.
The RCH Foundation is custodian of a growing permanent corpus that is invested and generates a stream of income to support the priorities of the hospital and its campus partners. Endowed funds can fulfil specific goals, like supporting a certain area of research, a particular program, equipment, or the hospital’s highest priority needs. You can also choose to add your gift to one of the RCH Foundation’s existing endowed funds.
