Main funding purpose: Area of greatest need
The story so far
The formation of the Mish Mish, which is Arabic for Apricot, was inspired by a group of talented mums, who were mostly newly arrived migrants, from the Bethal Primary School Community.
The group held weekly get togethers encouraging the sharing of diverse craft and cultural cooking skills. While on a tour of the hospital in 2014, the women were especially impressed with the Education Institute and decided they would like to somehow support it, so the Mish Mish Women’s Group formed an Auxiliary.
To raise funds, the Auxiliary holds quarterly stalls at the RCH and stalls at the Bethal Primary School.
